How to Make Big Decisions

Hello there, Weatlh chefs

Ever faced a big decision and felt unsure about which way to go?Ever felt like your heart is telling you one thing but your head is filled with all sorts of stuff about why not or why not now?

The “juiciness” of our lives is determined by the quality of the choices we make every second of the day. How we choose to spend our time and money, what we fill our minds and bodies with, where we focus our attention and what we give our energy to.

The “wealthiness” of our lives is created by the quality of the bigger decisions we make. Yet most of us were never taught tools to ensure these decisions are the best for us.

Whether it’s leaving a relationship, jetting off on an adventure, moving to a new home, quitting a “secure” job, starting a business or spending a large amount of money…

… how do you make the choice with confidence, knowing it’s the wealthiest life choice for all? (that’s a hint by the way!).

You can ask your siblings, your parents or you partner; you can poll your work colleagues or even ask your Facebook friends but as I’m sure you know from past experience – these conversations usually just leave you more confused and worse, doubting yourself. I believe each of us has a natural “wealthy life” barometer which will guide us to making decisions that serve us best – if we just learn how to use it.

This is what this Wealth Snack video is all about – How to Make Big Decisions (and know that you’ve done the right thing).

You’ll learn a simple, but powerful tool, to make an empowered YES or NO. This tool helps me make major life-transforming decisions fast.

One of the awesome impacts of using this tool to make a decision is when you do, you never again have any doubt about the choices you make because, no matter how “hard” or “scary” or “risky” your chosen path may seem, you know to your core that it’s the best and wisest choice for you.

Once you’ve had a chance to watch, I’d love to hear from you.

Do you have any big decisions you need to make? If so, use the TT Test  and tell us about it in the comments below.

Or, tell us about a time you trusted your inner “wealthy life guide” and made a decision that at the time felt scary or like a big stretch. What helped you make that decision and what was the lesson you learned?

Remember to share as much detail as possible as thousands of Wealth Chef’s in the making come here each week for juicy wealth snacks, insight and inspiration as they create their juicy financially free lives too.

Your ideas and shares may trigger someone to have a big breakthrough.

Thanks as always for reading, watching, and sharing so generously and for choosing to master this key ingredient money and live your un-limited life.

With huge love

Hi Ann, thank you for opening my eyes…ten years back I wanted to start my own business. At that stage I was not working due to voluntuary retrenchment and taking care of my newborn. Although I was so excited about this venture, and took action with researching, I unfirtunately did not go ahead – naysayers/money/obstacles, any excuse you can think of…

Ten years later, in a corporate job, with “stable” income, all boxes ticked, but very unhappy. After being on the FFU live in Cape Town, I have the courage to take my first step. My facebook page is created, last night. Will share it after my 1st post. Watch this space. ☺

I dont want to wake up 10 years from now, dreading my life (again)

    Thank you Ann

    Hi Ann,
I only got to watch your video now but would like to share my story. I was in a job, very unhappy, and at the age of 62 (on the verge of a total breakdown), I was confronted with only question “what is best for me”. I prayed about it a lot and got the answer that I wanted, still scared, I resigned and started my own little business. My long term vision is to grow the business that it would give me a sustainable income until I feel I don’t want to work any longer. (At the age of 65 the company would have forced me to go on pension anyway) I might not be earning the salary that I was used to but I got round that as well and as long as my business is growing I am happy. Coming back to what you said age does not matter it’s taking the decision and move forward.

  • Tex says:

This is an easy to follow and to apply tool. It is just about courage to venture into the unknown. Thank you Ann

  • Jill says:

Hi thanks Ann. Abraham Hicks says you can also line up with decision after you’ve made it as an option so you make the decision right and that way you don’t dwell on regrets. Everything changes so new options open up after most decisions.

  • Elsa says:

Ann! this video was so well timed. I have to decide this week to buy a house or rather invest and rent with the proceeds of the sold house. Indecision is debilitating. And you are so right the more people you ask for advice the more uncertain one getst! I will get the answer!
    Thanx for this!

  • Elana says:

Perfect timing! Thank you for following your heart and sharing this video. We are facing a BIG. DECISION and this is a tool we will try.

  • Damita says:

    Hi Ann,

Thank you for sharing this! What about a semi big decision as a course that will impact my economy this year and perhaps next year how to use the TTT? Because the money will not be a problem in 10 years however I do not know if it is so beneficial in the short run or at all for a crunch year or 2 how to use TTT?
    Many thanks in advance!

  • Linda says:

Dear Ann, doing the 30 day money makeover was the impetus for changing the way I see my life in oh so many ways. Opening my mind to see possibilities in how I can better manage my monies also opened me to believe I CAN be a life coach, a long held dream. Financially, certification seemed out of reach. Through a series of synchronicities I’ve found courses that are either free or on sale for very low cost. I’ve stepped onto the path now. I’ve created a FB page that will eventually launch my practice but in the meantime, I’m writing content for the page that is all about creating one’s life, challenging dis-empowering beliefs and realizing one’s own potential. Listening today gives me even more ideas to share and confirms I’m on the best path for my life, currently. Namaste!

  • Catherine says:

Hi Ann, I had the pleasure of meeting you and hearing you. You are one of the most authentic speakers that I know of so a big thanks.
With every tool I have learnt so far I have managed to keep staying afloat, clearing medical financial debt and even to keep negioating having huge amounts of time when I am not physically able to earn a living. Even now after literally just having had three more spinal surgeries , being given the gift of walking again, signing my own name and even being able to write this , whilst in recovery with no income I am planning how to implement strategys beyond this point. My incredible enthusiastic hope comes from being given some of the tools.
My choices throughout my life came from very early on discovering the difference between my Yes and my No inside myself, with then my resistance. Once I discovered that my life became increasingly empowered, even with every possible road block that become the consquences to being born with severe medical challenges. I have syndromes that break down the collagen in every cell of my body, and that keep most people with these medical challenges disempowered. I am so privileged to still be here and to know some of the hows to keep getting up no matter what. To enjoy building the next steps for a financial free future, even from ground zero, but not minus zero any longer.
    thank you

    • Ann Wilson says:

xxx Wow – thank you Catherine – It was such a pleasure meeting you at the Alternative talk in London and I am so humbled and inspired by your journey. Your courage and bravery has and continues to inspire so many and it reminds me what makes us truly wealthy. “discovering the difference between my Yes and my No inside myself” – following our authentic YES and NO is our wealthy life compass.

  • Jil Orpen says:

I have followed your advice for years and
huge things have happened, quite out of the blue. One thing that I find about decision making is that often it is too personal to share. When I step out of my zone, and search for a lead in meeting a totally new set of people, far more intellectual, experienced or wealthier than I, something triggers my decision. It is often based on what I see or overhear – it has nothing to with discussing my inner conflict. I keep that quiet. You are so right consciousness of time helps that travel. Thank you so much.

    • Ann Wilson says:

Thank you for sharing your process Jill. It has been such a privilege to witness the expansion of your creativity, your photography and art and some of the “big things” that have come from you consciously choosing to make those big decisions.

  • Christine neill says:

Yes totally agree Ann , I finally took the plunge and dived into an uncertainty out of fate but hey ho it worked !! Sometimes being hesitatnt is not the answer or too careful

  • ruth says:

Very timely for me ann, was having a wobble and slightly sleepless night about a decision i made recently, but this reminded me why i made the decision. And i realised in making it i had used the tool you described. Becuaase the decisions been made i had stopped thinking about what it will mean for me in the longer term, compared to not doing it – the juicing me up 🙂 and was getting dragged into the little issues that might sit within it – but are not the big picture why im doing it. And they can be dealt with, as you say, as i move along. Thanks im back in yes this is the right decision for me and now excited again 🙂

    • Ann Wilson says:

YEAH !!! I’m so glad it helped you Ruth. Keep this handy tool close by you. Our little (or not so little ) doubt monsters are always near by and having this at hand like a little doubt monster pepper spray is really useful 😉

  • Mary says:

I am 61 and considering traveling the world for 6 months . I’m excited but also scared . My mum is 95 and in a residential home and I won’t see her for 6 months and one of my grown up children still depends on me . I have a thriving hypnotherapy business and worry about picking it up again . But the TT exercise helped me to make the decision to go . There will always be reasons why I shouldn’t but I don’t want to be 71 and regret that I didn’t go . I will have missed out on all that adventure and also the possibility of writing a book about my experiences . Thank you Anne , I will soon book my round the world ticket . I’m also following your advice and will begin soon investing in a tracker fund so my money makes money while I’m away

    • Ann Wilson says:

oooooohhhhh – I am grinning from ear to ear Mary. Well done you awesome, inspiring woman. I want to see loads of photos and get juicy updates and know that you doing this IS such a gift to your mum and may very well “help” yor grown up kid who still depends on you, discover they have their own wings too.

  • Daleen says:

Thanks so much….i really needed this. I’ll be using this and keep you posted on how it goes.

  • Noxolo Moloeli says:

I’m a very scary person to make big decisions but after this video I will take That step. The only problem is that I don’t even know which business to go to. I always worked at clothing industry as a garment technologist but for the last 4 years I have not been working. I tried things and they did not work and I’m now left with not knowing what to do.

    • Ann Wilson says:

Noxolo – what is the feeling you are wanting to feel – go inside and feel that feeling – imagine what you are doing that gives you that feeling and then take a step towards that. let go of having to know HOW! You have a deep well of skills and abilities – trust them. xxx

  • Teetu Simiona says:

Thank you Ann. You’re right. I made a decision in breaking away from a relationship that was not getting me anywhere in every aspect of my life. That decision was scary. I had nowhere to stay but swallowed my pride and asked family member for a place to stay. It was the best decision I made. Now you’re right if I dont act on starting and learning a new step in my life I will never ever find out. I will do it scared.

    • Ann Wilson says:

Teetu – thank you for sharing so openly <3. Here's to loving the "scared" bits knowing that they always create magic.
